Tried to work with the mortgage company, they wont work with us, we attempted chapter 7, the lawyer screwed us over, we have three small children and no where to go, we want to fix this, are willing to fix it, no one will listen and help, we are at our last resort now.  I got into an accident and we had to pay for the hospital bills, my wife\'s mother died last year and we had to pay for the whole thing, our vehicle broke down and i had to buy a new one, plus the cost of propane, kids in school, and the gas prices have all effected us and caused us to be behind.  we had a bad year, everyone has those.  We just want to get back on track and we need someone who will listen and help us. Wife's mother died last year, we had to pay for the whole funeral, I got into a car accident and we had to pay for that.  Plus the cost of propane, kids in school, we had to get a another car.  We are confident that now we can catch up if we can find someone to listen to us and help us. I was injured at work in January was out of work for two months and my employers comp ins carrier disputed my claim for workers comp . In June I was laid off due to lack of work and filed for unemployment but was only getting $220 take home weekly . the job that laid me off was paying $14 per hour ,3 weeks ago i started another job at $11 per hour .I take home about $350 weekly, receive $400 monthly from renting 2nd floor apt., and will be getting $400 monthly from renting a room on the first floor. I occupy this home for the last 10 years ,about 4 years ago I hired a mediator to get out of foreclosure with Abn Amro succesfully. At that time I was earning $16 per hour,paid the lawyer fees and the past due balance was deferred to the end of my 30 year FHA.last year my mortgage co became CITI MORTGAGE. I am hoping to negotiate with Citi and want to keep my home. I contacted a HUD counselor in my county and she has a large caseload and will not be able to review my case for 3 weeks, I am preparing to disclose my finances, write a hardship letter ,and planning to raise the rent from 2nd floor from 400 to 500 monthly. I have no money saved  as of now but will make efforts to save as well as working overtime when it is available. I have a credit card balance of about $4000 which has been transferred to a collection lawyer, I have a $1000 balance with a capitol one credit card and their collection agency calls me 5 times daily. I owe IRS $1800 for income tax, I owe NY state $2300 for income tax , And I owe Albany county $1000 for past due water sewer tax I am in the process of making payment arrangements with them now that I am employed and trying to keep those amounts monthly low enough to afford a mortgage payment I am currently employed full time and I need a CITIFinancial Loan Modification. We fell behind on payments because a contractor failed to pay for several thousands of dollars worth of work.  We had paid out materials and labor on this work.  It caused us to incurr multiple bounced check fees and we have been digging ourselves out the hole since January.  We are finally able to afford the monthly payments, but are unable to come up with the down payment the bank is demanding in order to get a loan modification.

I thought i was only 1mo.behind but then i got the notice I was out of work but thought I was making my payments I asked the mortgage c. to work out a loan mod. they said they would let me know in 30days I need to know now if you need a lot of money up front i cant do this i understand your time cost and i will pay you just not right now if you can get my payments deferred I will use that, yes i'm starting a job Monday and its permanent I have my tax records but no paystubs as I was self employed but not now you can call tro verify my income the mortgage is with CitiFinancial home refinancing out of foreclosure. I refinanced with CitiFinancial in April of my mortgage broker did a refinance for me before-actually with Chase at a good rate, but I needed some cash out. He was slow to get this loan together and finally did a no-doc with basically my checking account info at CitiFinancial for a 399K mortgage for 50 (yes fifty) years at 9.9%!
It is set to readjust in April of 2009. At the time I had 2 sources of income. One as a W-2 flight attendant (23 years with American) and one as a 1099 as a Realtor.
Real estate income was slow this year and my flying is limited, but acceptable pay due to industry cuts in actual flights I can work. Anyway, I just need a decent term-30 years at a decent rate. I have been in this home for 15 years and want to stay in it. My monthly association condo fees are on $75 and my taxes are about $3900 a year. I am in the heart of Chicago. IMy Fico is low due to some old stuff resurfacing, but I have kept up payments on cc's, etc, except for one glitch a month ago on one late payment for my cc. I have missed Oct 2008 payment for FF and am noe sceduled to pay oct/noc plus late fees totalling $8500.
My ff loan is $3315 a month-and not building equity-all going to interest. I just need a notmal payment. I can probably afford 2200-2500 a month piti, maybe a bit more if the rate and terms a re decent. At this rate, I will never pay off my Citifinancial loan  I am only getting income from my flight attendant job.
